If so, then join a Toastmasters club, whether it's Boston Toastmasters or any other Toastmasters club that is close to you.
Boston Toastmasters is a non-profit club with a diverse membership.Many ages and ethnicities are represented.
We meet at:
Meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of every month,
from 6:15pm - 7:30pm.
Take the Green "B" subway line to "Boston University Central".
Parking is fairly easy to find unless a Red Sox game is scheduled.
The meeting format consists of:
1. Four prepared speeches delivered by members, running 7 minutes each.
· members construct their speeches based on outlines described in the Toastmasters Manual.
2. Evaluations of the prepared speeches delivered by other members, running two minutes each.
· learning to give constructive feedback is an essential component of leadership.
3. Impromptu speaking in which members volunteer to speak on randomly generated topics for 2 minutes each.
· members practice speaking without preparation.
4. Occasional group outings paid for using the club’s funds.
· hey, Toastmasters isn’t all work and no play!
Leadership opportunities include:
· becoming one of seven officers of the club, and helping to lead the club and manage its members and its finances.
· leading a meeting, coordinating the agenda, and introducing all the speakers calmly and fluidly.
· motivating your peers to complete 10 speeches to accomplish the Competent Communicator designation.

In order to join:
1. Fill out the membership application
2. Pay the amount corresponding to the current month based on the chart below or bring in a check made out to Boston Toastmasters for the correct amount.
3. Once you join by paying the initial fee shown below, you will pay fixed dues of $36 every April 1st and October 1st. That’s just $72 per year.

(Membership amounts differ from month to month because all members pay fixed dues in April and October. So, if you joined in May, your fee would include the new member fee along with dues for May through October. However, if you joined in September, your fee would only include dues for September; you would then pay the fixed dues that all members pay in October.)
