Boston, MA, September 14, 2016: Tuesday, September 6, 2016 Boston Toastmasters held its Fall 2016 Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contests.
Laughter filled the room, as three Toastmasters competed in the humorous speech contest. The first speech by Owen Church highlighted the escapades of old friends. The second speech by Jonathan Parker showcased lessons learned about communication through a series of mishaps from someone hard of hearing. The third speech by Jazz Dottin portrayed what it’s like to produce a parody music video with a nonmusical family. Jonathan Parker emerged as the humorous speech winner.
Two Toastmasters, Brittney Exline and Jazz Dottin, competed in the evaluation contest, providing valuable feedback for a fellow Toastmaster’s speech about how to effectively use online dating. Brittney Exline was selected as the winner.
Jonathan Parker and Brittney Exline will move on to compete in the Area 81-82 competition, which will be held on Wednesday, September 28th from 6 to 9 PM. Briefings will begin at 5:30 PM. The contest will be hosted at:
